I’m Becky and I’m new to the site. I would like to just jump right in and say I have a 6 year old black male who has developed “fly biting/catching syndrome”. I noticed there were conversations regarding this syndrome on this site awhile back. Someone was having the same problems. I would really like to find out if they found resolution. My boy has a severe case and we are at our wits end.

Been to 4 Vets. Because it is so rare most Vets aren’t familiar with it. We have tried several different medications to no avail. Researchers are still not sure what exactly causes it. It’s been narrowed down to either gastrointestinal or neurological (form of epileptic seizure). But again, they are not certain. The studies have not been large enough to really tell. Anyway, tomorrow we have an appointment with a vet specialist. Hope he can help.
