I was wondering what to do about a puppy that I was told was vaccinated but I am not sure it was. If I vaccinate it and it has already been vaccinated, will that cause any problems. I was told that it was vaccinated a week ago but they could not supply me with any proof. I am trying to get this puppy out of a bad situation and don't want to release it to a new home without vaccinations.
I think we need to understand more of this story. Did you buy the puppy off a breeder? If the breeder had the pup vaccinated, it will have a vaccination card from the vets. Could you ask which vets they used and contact the vets? There is a chance that they vaccinated the pup themselves. There is a risk in overvaccinating, but there is also a risk of not vaccinating, so you could really do with finding out if it was vaccinated or not.
