    Hi

My name is Jeni and i am the human for Holly a beautiful yellow Lab/retriever

Our story is pretty crazy but in short it goes like this

2010 we collected a new puppy from Girvan Ayrshire and we called her Holly in August 2012 we sadly re homed her because i had a new baby my husband was working shifts and she just never got the love and attention she needed so she went to live with a lovely family in a nearby town

July 2016 we were meant to go see a Viszla puppy but as the parent hadn't been hip scored i cancelled the viewing at the last minute...........while trudging the internet i went on gumtree and googled puppies near Stirling and teh very first entry on the list was our Holly !!!!!!! the couple were separating she had a 1 year old who pestered the life out of the dog and similar to our circumstances 4 years before she didnt have the time or energy to give holly what she wanted..............in steps me and here we have it our lovely holly back home again i couldn't believe our luck i always regretted a decision made when hormones were all over the place but couldn't ever take it back as the lady had a wee girl the same age as my oldest at the time and i couldn't imagine how she would have felt if i had called a week later and said to give her back.........either way i got her back and shes home my son (eldest) is over the moon he was very close with her back then and even more so now

So that is our story fate was on my side 3 weeks ago and i am so grateful

    Jeni :)

Thank you for the replies she has settled in as though she never left.....they do say that dogs dont forget and i believe this as the case because as soon as she saw me it wasnt just an excited 5 year old dog greeting someone new it was a bolt over back position leg in the air and the same when she saw my son.

We have a few issues arising with her health etc which i am hoping being on here i can resolve many of these with all the advice from everyone who have years of experience etc nothing too serious but id just like to know i am not the only one :)

Welcome to you and Holly - a lovely happy ending for you both :). I'm also in Scotland, over in Fife, with Ripple, my 15 month terror of a chocolate lab. This forum has been a godsend to me, helping me keep sane through Ripple's, still continuing, puppyhood - hopefully you will find answers to all your questions here.

    Wow - that's amazing.

A warm welcome from me and Charlie (3.5 year old chocolate lab and the love of my life), and 14 week old Betsy (aka Bitey McBiteFace) that we are both learning to love. :)
