Hey everyone! I'm new to the forums here, but have been looking over it for a while; the odd search for "can my lab eat strawberries!?". I've grown up with dogs, but this is the first time I've owned a dog myself. We got Dexter as a 8 week old puppy, a gorgeous yellow lab retriever. He is literally the life and soul of our family! I'll post more pics of him here and there :)

I look forward to being part of a great community!!

Hi and welcome from me and Juno in rural France. Dexter looks a lovely boy. You must tell us more about him - whereabouts are you, how old is Dexter - oh and more photos. As you've seen on the forum, we love photos .
Juno hasn't eaten strawberries but is now going to help herself to raspberries from the bushes in the garden, when we're out playing

Hi MaccieD, thanks for the welcome :)

Juno is a great name for what I'm sure is a great dog you have! Me and Dexter are from Stalybridge, Manchester which also has great rural areas. Dexter is now 9 months old and he loves to swim! We can never get him out of the water. We try not to feed him too much fruit, but sometimes his curiosity is too much and he jumps up to get to food etc. I'll find some more pictures to post!

    Hello and welcome!
Great photo. If Dexter likes strawberries I bet he would LOVE melon. Along wh bananas, melon has to top the list of food our Lilly drools over. She forages for blaeberries too in the woods.
no trouble with her 5 a day.

Juno loves banana as well and I always have to share my apple with her! I now cut the apple in quarters to make it easier to share . Haven't tried melon but I'm sure that will also be popular. Just grateful that she hasn't discovered the young fruit on the trees yet :D

Hello and welcome from Fred and me. Dexter looks lovely. Fred loves strawberries. He helps himself from our garden if we don't watch him. Last year when we went blackberry picking, I think he ate more of them than we picked. He was ok
