    Thank you Helen.
Sophie would like to be a vet so any offers of work experience welcome ;D
I said I wouldn't embarass her if she didn't embarass me, but she is a good girl :)

Jac, it is our duty to embarrass our children, get a grip ;D ;D

Sorry no Vets here ask Lochan ;)

Grace wanted to be a Vet for years she did her work experience at a local Vets and it totally put her off. ::) Helen x

    Re: Hello

She is loving the work at kennels so far - last week did Sat/Sun/Mon/Tues then Fri/Sat/Sun 8am-5.30 - got "played with" by a pair of boxers and had good bruises to prove it, and had kennel cough and feline flu to contend with.
I was thinking more along the lines of honing her training skills Helen ;D
Awaiting word back from our vets re work experience.

Do you think if I manage to get both a doctor and a vet in the family I might be able to retire early??? 8)

    Re: Hello

So glad Sophie is enjoying her work, good girl. Good luck with the Vet getting back.

If you get a Doctor and a Vet absolutely retire :D

Just been doing Grace's Uni accommodation etc. over £3,500 just for a pokey room in Halls and that's without food and fun expenses. Bless her she got her first letter congratulating her on her £9,000 loan for her first year  Our Government should be ashamed of themselves doing this to the future of our country   Helen xx

    Re: Hello

    What's Grace off to do?
We have to wait until Scott's results next Tuesday ( :-\ ) but even then he has to await the English results before his accomodation is sorted.
They have some very nice accomodation in Glasgow (and also some less nice - but still better than I had!!)
I think Scott's preference is a fairly new complex with single en suite rooms, and self-catering, at almost £5K a year. The cheapest is a shared self-catering room with shared facitities and that comes in around £3600
Unfortunately, the one closest to where he will be studying is the pricey one.

    Good luck to Grace!

Sophie, there are also dog minding opportunities available in Australia. We have quite nice weather and my dog is mostly well behaved. ;)

Hi Jac, Grace is doing English Literature which is her absolute passion :* 15th results here so she is starting to worry a bit now ::)

Good luck to Scott but by the sounds of it he doesn't need it, got his mum's brains 8) Thankfully our children have David's brains or we would be going nowhere fast ;D Let us know how he gets on.

Hey, just catching up on posts....and I think Sophie should have an adventure in Canada and hone her skills on a real challenge....say, a half-barbarian 10 month old Lab goof??? ;) :D
