Hello everyone! Wasn't too sure in which subforum to create this thread but, as it is my first post, Introductions seems not to be the wrong one . The reason I am here is that I am seeking someone experienced in Labrador retriever training/behavior to be my expert witness in a court proceeding — for a fee of course. The main question to be answered is this: would a black Lab typically start chasing/attacking domestic ducks just by itself once released before them, or would it most likely need to be additionally encouraged/commanded to do so? The case is a private prosecution (which are allowed in New Zealand where I live) in which the defendant allegedly set his black Lab on a couple of my pet duckies. I am the prosecutor. If someone with recognized experience in Labrador retriever breeding/training could confirm that chasing/attacking ducks is actually in their blood/nature so that they would typically start doing it upon giving a chance, that would be a plus to my case. As my witness, you will be able to appear at the trial via audio-visual link. It will happen on the 29th of September 2021 (the 28th in the US). Please feel free to ask any additional information, either here or by private messaging. Many thanks!
