Hi everyone I have enjoyed reading your forum (and Pippa's site!) for quite a while so thought I should join up and say hello. I have an 11 month old yellow Labrador named Oberon (Obi for short). He is our second Lab. We got him at the age of 9 months soon after the loss of our first boy (a very placid, patient 14yo) last year. Having a new, teenage Lab was a bit of a shock at first but we love him to bits and it's all going well Here is the young rascal chewing the face off a toy pig (hopefully the photo will appear at some point - I am a bit technologically challenged!!).
Re: Hi from Austraila Oops, and I just realised that I spelled 'Australia' wrong in the subject and can't edit the post. Bit embarrassing ;D
Re: Hi from Austraila Hi Oberon. Hello from me and I bet it's not snowing where youare . 3 year old black Lab bitch called Lady here.
Re: Hi from Austraila Hello Oberon, I'm a newbie as well so we are both starting from scratch and look forward to reading your posts and chatting with you
Re: Hi from Austraila A warm welcome from us too, Hattie 5 1/2 and Charlie 2 years old. Enjoy Helen My son is returning from Australia on Tuesday, he's been away for over 2 years. Can't wait
Re: Hi from Austraila Thankyou for the lovely welcome, everyone! I am going to have to work out what I did wrong with uploading a photo since it hasn't appeared - oops - will check that out when I get home later. David - definitely not snowing atm.....but it snows not too far from here in winter. Karen - I am in Canberra, which is about 2 hours inland on the eastern side of Australia. A Lab I assume? Charlie - I hope your son bring you back some good presents Jade805 - how exciting to be getting your puppy on the weekend!! Edit: I think I worked out how to add a photo: Obi Here he is at dog club, which we go to on Thursday nights. IMG_3821
Re: Hi from Austraila Oh what a beauty!!!! Yes, I have a one-year old red-gold working strain female Lab, called Poppy.
Re: Hi from Austraila Hi and welcome. Your boy is gorgeous. Think I may have to upgrade my camera to get some decent pictures of my lab-he's black and its so difficult to get a photo where you can see any features - he just looks like a negative in most of them.
Re: Hi from Austraila Yes, the blacks are so hard to photograph! Our previous boy was black and so we have lots of photos of Labrador silhouettes Such beautiful, shiny coats on the black ones though - it compensates for their hard-to-photographness.
Re: Hi from Austraila We used to call my old lab The Black Hole - referencing both his insatiable hunger, and the fact that his image seemed just to suck in all light on photographs! ;D
Re: Hi from Austraila Lovely dog! I like the "Black Hole". Kind of sums it up really. I was just saying last night it would be more relaxing if she wasn't so food focussed all the time!
Re: Hi from Austraila gorgeous! welcome from me and my two Cuillin and Brodick....nice contrasting fox red and black un here!
Re: Hi from Austraila LOL, I only just read your reply, Karen. Can't think of a better description ;D
