A bull in a china shop or an elephant in a china shop, now that I can totally relate to, that was definitely Leão ! Actually I am looking into insurance for Gaston, just in case he's that way too, I'll get that covered this time. I wonder if it would pay for patés at birthday parties Well, I don't record him doing much damage out there, it was just basically at home. Lots of damage at home, we were going mad for the first year at least
Hi, Fred is 3 years and his half sister Annie is 2 years old. Same father different mothers. They are great friends. They are from working lines.
I realized on the forum that I had got this the other way around. I thought the leaner dogs were from show lines and the wider more robust were working dogs, maybe I was relating as such as I understand this is the case with horses
Ahhh......welcome to you and little Gaston from me and my 7.5 year old black girl Lilly. He looks cute as a button I hope helps fill your broken heart x
Thanks drjs@5 and Lilly! Loved the photo of Lilly in your album https://thelabradorforum.com/media/20160101_133827_zpsqvw2wq3k.14/ Lovely capture.
Ooh Gaston is gorgeous! Welcome from me and Bailey in Adelaide, AustraliaSo sorry to hear of your loss-our dogs take large pieces of our hearts and that’s just how it should be.
Thanks BevE. You are right, they do take a large piece of our heart, and if it wasn't so there'd definitely be something very wrong with us I guess. And thanks all, I am really excited to have the pup home on the 2nd Feb, Just counting the days really. We're almost there !
I would also like to thank everyone on the forum. I am reading it all through and it is the best, full of useful advice and information. Thanks to all
Welcome from Bowie and I from Melbourne Australia!! Gaston's sooo adorable!! I'm so sorry to hear about your loss - I'm sure there are no words to describe what you feel - but remember the good memories you had with him and new memories you're going to create with Gaston. Look forward to more pics when Gaston arrives
I somehow missed the photo of Gaston when you posted it - isn't he just a handsome little chunk! Those paws! The wrinkly nose!
Hi, and thanks for the welcome, Riesa and Master Bowie, after David Bowie Thanks for the kind words. Will absolutely post more pics of Gaston. We live close to the coast and there is a great beach, a lot like the one drjs@5 posted here https://thelabradorforum.com/media/20160101_133827_zpsqvw2wq3k.14/ We used to take Leão to the beach and to the lakes, he'd always go for a good swim, it was wonderful to watch. He'd swim the lake from one end to the other, after the duck when he was younger. Lately he'd get tired so he didnt do that anymore, just dove in for the sticks we threw for him to catch. We have lovely memories and I am looking forward to creating new ones with Gaston now. They will not be the same, but I am quite sure I will love them just as much.
