Hello Everyone. Thank you for letting us join this wonderful site !!!! I am from hertfordshire England and am the new owner of a 12 week old golden labrador called Marley and life right now is very hectic and tiring !!!! I have found so much useful info on this site which has help both Marley and myself enormously. Training has started for us both, Marley now understands the word sit and we are work on him bringing things back to me. He hasnt had all his injections yet so isnt allowed to mix with other dogs, but we do go in the garden where it seems he must eat mud and stones !!!! I look forward to gettingto know you all over the coming weeks.
Re: Hi from Me and Marley Thank you for your kind welcome. Will work out how to post a picture and then can show you what the little horror looks like !!!!!

Re: Hi from Me and Marley Welcome from Holly and me in South Wales. I'm looking forward to seeing some pictures of Marley.
Re: Hi from Me and Marley Welcome from Poppy and me! Yes, tiring and hectic is how I remember the first few weeks! Soon you'll be able to get out and about more, and Marley will get to know all sorts of other dogs and have all kinds of adventures... Looking forward to hearing all about your exploits together!
Re: Hi from Me and Marley Hi Susan, Sounds like you have your hands full of fun!!If Marley hasn't already got too heavy you can get out and about carrying him to meet and see lots of new people and things ....it's something I wish I'd been able to do with my yellow boy Dexter , he is 2 now and because we live in Dubai he couldn't be imported until he was 4 months and then there was a mess up with his DOB so I he was 5 months in the end Nd missed this valuable time.Hes my first dog and I have learned so much retrospectively from the Labrador site and Forum friends....makes me wonder how we've got this far to be honest ;D Lovely to meet you here...good luck with your training ,sounds like you've made a great start Best wishes Angela x
Re: Hi from Me and Marley Welcome from me and Obi Do you know any sensible, older, vaccinated dogs who Marley could meet?
Re: Hi from Me and Marley Welcome from me and Flora who is a Springer, but her best friend , my "Grandog" , is a lovely black lab. Mud is normal and increases in direct relation to the growth of paws but stones are a very bad idea, a friend's lab puppy recently actually swallowed pebbles and bits of brick and made herself very poorly...thankfully after a very expensive trip to the vets she is fine now. Baby labs are just so adorable ....despite the exhaustion you will be in for so much fun in the coming months as she develops and of course it all gets easier as the days lengthen and the spring arrives...
Re: Hi from Me and Marley Hi All I have finally figured out how to post some pictures in the photo section. Hope you like them. Marley is doing well and growing fast, presently 9.1 kilos, will let you know how much he puts on when we go for our final injection on Thursday !!
