Hi there, we are based in Sheffield England and our black Labrador puppy Maya came to us about 11 days ago. She’s our 3rd Labrador girl but I confess to having the puppy blues as our last lab (a chocolate girl) passed away in February aged 13 years old. You forget how difficult these first weeks are and I’m sleep deprived with a hubby working away.
Hi Karen, welcome to the forum It's understandable to feel overwhelmed, you've got a lot on your plate, and it's hard not to compare a chaotic puppy to the placid old friend we've recently lost. I felt the same way after getting a new puppy 8 months after our 15-year-old Lab died. It gets easier as they grow up and now I'm so glad we made the decision to get another dog
