Thank you all so much for the lovely welcome. Feel quite at home already and I warn you, I love pictures but don't see many on here?
This is Hobie who died last april - Mella has a big gap to fill in our lives but she's getting there........

Hobie looks like he would have been a giver of excellent cuddles :) I'm sure you miss him a lot.

Mella looks to be pretty well equipped in the cuddling department as well :)

Oh, keep those pics coming! I'm just a bit lazy about getting round to it myself, but yours are LOVELY!! That's some big shoes Mella has to fill, but I think there's lots of joy and fun coming your way ;D

Oh yes, she is already weedling her way into out hearts, she's a real little honey, which incidentally is why she's called Mella, a derivative of the Latin for honey, Mel Mellis!

I reckon we should organise some sort of local meet as there seem to be a lot of us from Bristol/Somerset/surrounding areas.
Does anyone ever do that sort of thing?

I think that's a great idea (but not for me I'm really rather reclusive and allergic to people [IMG])

We have some wonderful walks around here, a gentle stroll round the reservoir takes about 45+ mins, plenty of parking as well. This time next week we'll start the social bit with Mella, can't wait to get rid of some of her energy!

Beautiful girl. Such exciting times for you both :)

A local meet sounds like a fab idea! Might be worth starting a new thread and asking for ideas of locations/dates etc :)
