I have a 4 month old lab puppy. She has indications of hip displaysia and the vet is recommending a surgery called Juvenile Pubic Symphysiodesis which involves fusing a growth plate to help tighten the hip socket. Has anyone had experience with this. It must be done by 18-20 weeks, and it's hard to know if she will develop a severe condition by that time.
