Re: Hip Dysplasia Hugs to you all, hope it goes well. So sorry for this outcome but as you say, you are giving her a chance for a pain free life. Let us know, will be praying for you all!
Re: Hip Dysplasia Well everyone, thank you for all your kind words, thoughts and hugs. Willow went through her 3 hr surgery last night and it seems all went well, she was kept pretty much sedated last night and slept under the heat lamp. However, she is up today, has eaten her breakfast (my little hoover ;D) and is actually using the leg (already!!). The vet is really pleased with her, the xrays are good and he says it should make a big difference to her, she has no nerve damage and seems to be recovering well. She is on pain relief injections, anti-inflammatories and something for her stomach and will be kept for another day or two. The nurse said she's a lively one (translated as she's a bit of a lunatic) - think I'll have to sit on her to keep her quiet when she comes home lol.
Re: Hip Dysplasia That is wonderful news! Good to hear that she seems to be feeling ok Brave girl How are you feeling now that the surgery is over?
Re: Hip Dysplasia Ooohh have been waiting for news and so pleased for you that it's so good ;D Hope the recovery goes smoothly and you have lots of happy years running around together!
Re: Hip Dysplasia Fantastic news so happy for you both. Good luck keeping her calm when she comes home
Re: Hip Dysplasia Glad the surgery went well and recovery seems to be making good progress, hope she is ok when you get her home, let's us know how you go, everything will get better from here once you get over this tricky recovery period xxx
Re: Hip Dysplasia Good to know it went well....enjoy your couple days break until she gets home. I imagine you'll have your hands full for awhile but at least it will be a progression towards the good!!
Re: Hip Dysplasia Oh that is brilliant news. I'm so pleased for you. Bet you cant wait to get her home. Lots of cuddles to catch up on. xx
Re: Hip Dysplasia Yay she's home ;D though trying to cope with another excited lab, pulling a borrowed heavy crate out of the car while not letting her jump or run about was interesting - I need more hands! Does anyone know how to upload photos? Only got to take a proper one when she fell asleep - I think she's a bit concerned about her baldy side as she keeps turning away when I try to take a photo lol - it's def not her best side.
Re: Hip Dysplasia So glad she is home safe and sound If you look in the technical section it will give you several ways to upload photos
