    So sorry you have this worry with Cupar, but as everyone has said it's been found/diagnosed and is being treated. No need to apologise for worrying, we all worry about out dogs, we are all here to listen. Sending lots of best wishes and hugs to you and Cupar {{{ xxxx }}}

Ah I'm sorry you've had such a shock,I can't tell you how many times I've been in tears in the vet and if I'd have seen you there today upset I'd have joined in too ....of course you will cry when you love them so much.
Reading some of your other replies there seems to be a lot of positive experience of this condition, but I know that won't stop you worrying ,especially when you lost your other dog so quickly.
Pop by if you are having a wobble and to let us know how Cupar is doing
    Best wishes

Well Cupar has no awareness of any worry on my part. Business as usual for Cupar. Had to put bandage on his leg. He managed to remove it. So I've ordered the comfy collar for him, I'm hoping it will be here tomorrow.

I've managed to get a better look at this sore and it looks nothing like the pictures. To me it looks like he had an insect bite and then started licking it, to make a sore the size of a penny with no hair. Once the collars on it should dry up as he won't be getting near it. Although today he's not as fussed about it as he was yesterday.

My husband can't see what the fuss is about. He just needs to leave it alone , he informed me.

I'm feeling a LOT more positive today. Thankyou again for all your support.

My beautiful boy with his comfy collar on. No fighting, no whimpering, he takes it all in his stride. I make up for his laid back behaviour.

I do think this thing on his leg has been an insect bite that Cupar has made worse looking by licking it. I think I shall know by next week.

Still handsome even with a cone :)

I'm glad you're feeling a bit better. We all understand here! I've certainly bawled my eyes out in the vet's plenty of times....

Aw...bless. He looks like he doesn't mind too much, anyway. Hopefully all soon better.

Well Cupar got his check up today, he's now on antibiotics. Vet didn't say anything about cytoma, just that it looked infected. I have been trying to keep it clean, but Cupar has been loving the muddy fields and puddles.

I'm a more optimistic now as it stopped raining. Yay! Hopefully his leg will get a chance to stay clean.

We've another appointment for end of the week.

Thankyou all so much for your support.

Fingers crossed that it is just a localised infection that will respond to the antibiotics and that it isn't preventing Cupar from enjoying the outdoors. Look forward to hearing his progress on the antibiotics.

He looks very dignified (if a little teensy bit offended)
    Hope all is well

Hope it clears up quickly now that he can't get at it.

Love the photo of "I refuse to be embarrassed by this ridiculous cone of shame" Cupar :)
