Hah - me and my OH are not married....maybe we'll get round to it one day. But after living together for more than 20 years, god knows what our vows would be like. ;D ;D ;D Probably include the dishwasher stacking rota! ;D ;D ;D

    ;D ;D ;D

I loved our whole ceremony. Mainly because I wrote it all (control freak, much?) - it was a Humanist ceremony, so it could have whatever we wanted in it. We had people laughing and crying in all the right places. Someone said it was the funniest wedding ceremony they'd ever been to. Mission accomplished :)

Beautiful and funny wedding vows.... :) :)

Smiled, leant over and kissed my hubby...now his brow is furrowed in confusion... ;D (or suspicion, I am not sure!)

cute vows Fiona! ;D ;D My brother and his girl of 10 years got married last summer on the beach, and they had similar styled vows. I very much enjoy non traditional weddings!

    Julie,
I think you managed well with Charlie. Who knows what the scent was, but like you say he didn't leg it...he just went out and back...and he did check in with you enough that you could get a lead on. Obviously the distraction - whatever it was- was extra strong. I think managing the situation with a short lead and immediate exodus in a controlled manner is the best anyone could do. It's not a failure on Charlie, or a failure on you...it just is. You can't train for irresistible random scent trails...you can't proof them in a controlled situation, all you can do is manage...which I think you did very effectively. Just think if the beagle and owner had been a group of 9 year olds with a football....or 12 year olds with remote control cars.... I think you did GREAT! 8) 8) 8) 8)
