Re: Holding Rue a little closer tonight.
I feel sorry for the person who hit them, too. That would be horrible
Oh my goodness, I know. Just sad all the way around.
Re: Holding Rue a little closer tonight. Thanks... I think anytime an animal is hit by a car or some other kind of tragic accident is the fear and doubt and unanswered questions for the owners. Often referred to as "survivor's guilt" What made them go? What were they chasing? did the person driving see them? Did they try to avoid them? Did my animal panic? Was he/she aware of what happened? What if I did this differently? Was my training enough? If I had only.... But I think the bottom line is...you just will never know....it could have been one thing, it could have been multiple things. I found my comfort in knowing that the 4 years I had with Izzy were wonderful, she was happy and healthy and a wonderful girl whom we loved deeply. We will never forget her. She's now with many many other beloved furry friends we've lost over the years.
Re: Holding Rue a little closer tonight. so sad it is so easy for this to happen we are all i am sure as carefull as possible but dogs like horses can be unpredictable best wishes to your friend
Re: Holding Rue a little closer tonight. So very sad for your friend, what a tragic loss this sudden death must have been , relieved that she does have a surviving dog but she must be devastated :'(
