I got my first dog as a birthday gift and I was wearing a Polka dots pajamas so I named her Polka. Then I started giving names that start with the letter "P" to my other dogs. My last dogs' name is Lilo though cause he was born on the same day with my mom. My mom's name is Lala. Haha! So, how did you come up with your dogs' name? Does it have any significant meaning?
I love the name Polka! We let our 5 year old pick, and she chose Max. It's a bit underwhelming, but another name on her shortlist was Princess Sparkle Gemstone, so it could have been worse!
Brilliant, I let my 6 year old sons choose our latest dogs name. They wanted Rainbow which we thought might sound a bit funny when they grew up and could be calling her in a gruff, Yorkshire tone across the Dales ! Luckily at the time they were reading a school book about a dog called Meg...so we have a Meg Rainbow in our house.
We have been wanting a dog for many years and have always pinched my parents (black lab) for family walks, days outs and sleep overs, after such a horrendous year and sorting out care while at work we decided to get our own which we named Joy as she brings Joy to the family home.
