How lucky I am

I'm know I've always been lucky with Juno in that she house-trained easily, was never a crocopup, has never chewed anything (fingers etc. now crossed to ward off evil ) other than her toys, has taken all her restricted exercise and later surgery in her stride, but it's the last few weeks that has really shown what a little star she is - and yes I know I'm prejudiced :D. She has coped with all the packing and unpacking, reductions in walks etc. in her stride and even now is spending more time laying by my feet while I organise car re-registrations, driving licences and a 1000 other things online, which reminds I must start Christmas soon  but while out walking yesterday in a local woodland we met another guy with his GR who said how well behaved Juno was and what brilliant recall she had when she turned and came to me first time instead of trying to get his dog to play. Then this morning we met another lady walking along our local public footpath who has 2 labs with both of them going bananas when they saw us. Juno, albeit on a shorter lead walked rather nicely past them and the other lady said that she had seen walking around the village and was impressed with her well behaved Juno was (just as well she hasn't seen her doing a hoolie yet!), and what a pretty girl she is (obviously a lady of taste ;)).
I think Juno rather likes her new home, although we don't have the same amount of garden to play in she enjoys sitting by the patio doors watching all the pheasants strut around the garden. At one count this morning there were 9 females in the garden and 2 males sitting on the fence. She also has fun watching a squirrel scamper up one of the trees...... I tried to get a photo of her watching the pheasants but as soon as she saw the phone she was up and coming to me

Oh well, guess I should go and make up one of the 2 new bedframes which are in boxes in bedrooms. They won't put themselves together and OH has deserted me for the delights of London :p, the it will be walkie time again :D

You ARE lucky. One day when you're not looking I will swap my naughty spaniel for her and you will never know!!! He will of course do the opposite of everything you've described so you maaaaaaay spot the swap but I'm going to give it a go ;)

I'm glad the move has gone so well, bring on Christmas! :)

That's a lovely post - well done you, Juno may naturally be a 'good' girl, but it's your training and patience that has helped her nature to shine through.

I know we have been exceptionally lucky with her. As we always say we could not have asked for anything more in our girl, she's everything and more that I dreamed of while waiting for her to be conceived and born :D. Have to confess that our training has always been with a light touch and concentrating on how she behaves out and about in town and seeing all sorts of people on walks, apart from the basics and good manners :D.

So lovely to hear about Juno, what a star coping so well with the move and settling straight in to her new home.

    Lovely to read this.
I do feel sorry for the amount of house move stuff you are having to cope with on your own.
Hoping you feel you are organised and can really enjoy your Christmas x

@drjs@5 It's just been one of those years when OH has had to be away when an extra pair of hands could be really handy. But then again I had the remote all to myself tonight . Planning a relaxing Christmas (I've a few bottles of bubbly stashed away )

Juno sounds like a lovely girl and sooo chilled out. I would have thought it was down to your calm nature maybe and always training xx :)

charlie Thanks Helen, I wish I could say it was due to my calm nature and training but I think I'm just exceptionally lucky. I know my trainer wanted to swap Juno for her Jen a few times  as they are both chocolate and only 4 weeks between them they have al[ways been pretty much the same size but Juno was a lot easier than Jen - must be in the genes ;)

I know, I really can't imagine life without her. She just sort of stole my heart from day 1 and I love having her close. Her mum is a lovely quiet girl as well, her dad is a big, bouncy black boy but very obedient so I'm guessing that her breeding is shining through :D
