I think I must be lucky, I have 2 Black Labs and they don't seem to shed that much, I never notice hairs on the carpet, I brush their dog beds every morning with my hand and get a few hairs which I vacuum up, but that is about all. I only brush them when I remember which is about oncea week. PS and I am a fussy about the house!
Me too, and I have to empty the collection bin every time. Saba is chocolate, and seems to leave a fine covering of hair on both rigs and the wooden floors
We name the dust bunnies, and we get a new crop every day. The Furminator takes out tons of undercoat, but I'm not sure it really helps reduce shedding. I've read that it cuts or pulls out undercoat that would not otherwise come out. I don't see a big improvement in shedding when I use it on Tilly. Cooper will not tolerate a Furminator. The Zoom & Groom (big tapered rubber teeth) seems to work the best. A good cordless hand vac is great for picking up fur drifts. I would recommend either the Hoover Aire, or one made by a power tool mfg. Stay away from any that don't have snap in batteries. (I have three dead Sharks at my house and cabin)
