Red is 19.4 kg at almost a year old. She was given a huge amount of fuss at the vets and told by 3 different people what a pretty girl she is . Proud of her there.
Hi everyone, New to the forum and thought this was a good one to start. We've had River for almost a month and at 15 week, last week she was 12kg. When we had her checked after we picked her up, she was just over 9kg, so the girl's growing up nicely. I agree with most of the other people on here, that it is good to track their weight and decide for yourself whether you think they're a bit too thin/heavy or right as they are. But comparing weight is different. Each pup is unique after all.
Great to know that there is so much difference!! Indy is currently 11 weeks and is only 6.5kg.. Long legs and lean, vet isn't worried, just this dog mumma!! She is 25% wolfhound though!
Tessa will be 8 months in two days (female, born 20 April 2017). Weighed her today at vet and she's 39lbs (17.7 kg). Everyone assumes she is 6 months old b/c of her small size. We visited with sire and dam before she was born and have seen recent photos of her male siblings... all are the expected size for English Labrador Retrievers... How much more growth can we expect? We assumed she'd be 60-65 lbs (27-29 kg).
Hi and welcome . Please don't worry , owners can get a little concerned about weight , but there is rarely any cause for concern . As long as your Vet is happy , she is happy , eating well , playing etc. then there is little to worry about . She has some growing to do yet , they usually keep growing, albeit a little more slowly, until they are around 14 months old x
Hi, I'm new to the forum and thought it was a good place to start out! I will be reading everything with great interest. I picked up my little baby girl when she was 8 weeks old on Saturday. When she had her first jabs at 8 weeks and 2 days, yesterday, she weighed in at 6kg. She's the joint smallest in her litter of 11, but still a very good size and developing really well! I've known her since she was about one minute old, so she's very special to me already.
Thank you! She's absolutely bonkers, but very bright and already sitting on command and walking well on the lead. She's a noisy little madam, though!
Our little Luna is now 13 weeks old, but has had lose motions for about 2 weeks. Finally on the mend and we are weighing her this evening. When we picked her up at 8 weeks she was 5.3kg 9 weeks 6.3kg 10 weeks 6.5kg 11 and 12 weeks 7.4kg 13 weeks......she’s definitely heavier will weigh later today.
Hi everyone! I just got my chocolate lab puppy! She is 7 weeks and is the runt in the litter. She only weighs 8 pounds. Is it possible for her to be the size of an average Labrador? I heard that people got runts and they ended up being bigger than the rest of the pups when they got older.
