Our Guide Dog Puppy Chuck is HUGE!
    He's 20 weeks today, and weighs a whopping 26.3kg (58Lb)!
And he's not tubby - we're keeping a close eye on his weight because he's so big.

We will sometimes use one of his meals for training or kongs as he absolutely loves them! We tend not to use a lot of treats when training but his food allowance and he seems to think it’s the best treat ever haha.. we sometimes use small bits of cheese for high rewarding :)

I always think my Chocolate boy Lab is quite dinky for a Labrador - When do they have a "growth Spurt"?

    At 8 weeks: 4kg
    At 10 weeks:7.3kg
    At 14 weeks:11.2kg
Next weigh in will be in couple weeks.... Place your bets! Lol xx
    At 18 weeks:????

14 weeks 1 day and Luna is now 11kgs! Hard to believe she was the 2nd smallest of the litter at the start.

Malone is 17-18 weeks and 14-15 kg or so. He is mixed with some smaller breeds... So likely won't grow to be as large as a typical male Labrador.

Fern's pups are 7 weeks-old today and the green collar boy and purple boy, who both started off at 445g.have changed dramatically. Green is now 5.4kg and purple is just 2.88kg. The rest, 2 girls and a boy range from 4.03 to 4.71kg. One girl has gone from 2.72 to 4.03kg. in one week. They have been on puppy food for 2 weeks, and fully dry kibble (Salters) for over a week. They are all healthy and putting on weight, so I suppose they aren't doing so badly.

Hi Christina - He got weighed this morning and now weighs a storming 16.9kg! I am definitely blaming the training treats for that one! Lol x.

Sounds like he has had his growth spurt then!

Not sure what treats you are using but we have found the little stars by fish4dogs and on Amazon there is 100% dried meat treats really good as they are small and not full of 'filler'

Can you not use his normal food allowance as treats?

We use treats and kibble over Luna's food allowance but she is such a hungry wee thing and perfect weight. Must have a high metabolism and growing so fast just now but we keep an eye on it for any changes in her.

Gone from 2nd smallest in the litter to bigger than over half of them!

    HI

We use the 95% meat treats, plain chicken or little stars (salmon/chicken) as his "High Value" Training Treats and he also has carrots, apple, cucumber etc for his teeth. He only gets 240g kibble a day as "meals" as we are taking the treats allowance off his food. Please don't get me wrong, he is not fat/overweight looking but he was so small when we got him I am just wondering if he has now "caught up" if there is such a thing.... He looks fine and vet happy.
