HI ! we also have a yellow lab that is now almost 14 weeks and he is 6kg. The vet mentioned that he will be a big boy, and his father was very big, but now that I read that most are ROUND 9-12KG i am a bit worried. Currently we give hin dry food and now adding a bit of snacks from cooked meat, fruit and vegetables. How is going now?
My girl is very little. She is now 23 weeks and 30 pounds (13.5kg). She is from American lines and her mother was quite small too. Anyone else with a small pup? I'm not sure of how big she is going to be when older...
My guy was 11 pounds at 8 weeks old. He is now 38 pounds at 5.5 months (23 weeks). We are very careful with what we feed him in order to prevent him from getting overweight. And he is absolutely perfect when looking at the body condition system chart, but I still feel like he is very small for his age. He is an English lab. He definitely doesn't look 5 months old in my opinion. Any ideas as to how big he will end up?

Take the pup's weight in pounds (at a certain age) and divide it by his age in weeks, then multiply that number by 52 (the number of weeks in a year). This should predict your pup's ideal adult weight. OK, so let's say a medium-sized dog weighs 8 lbs. at 16 weeks.
I really hope not! That would mean my little puppy will be a 40kg boy! The vets are guessing 32-35, but his paws are certainly big! Fingers crossed.
Hi, I am having this concern with my pup, she suppose to be 10 weeks but she is 1.68 kl under 4 lbs. she looks healthy just tiny. I am starting to think she is not a Lab lol.
