Amy does not drink much water. She is Kimble feed, so should I be worried?

Do you add water to your kibble mix?
Lilly doesn't drink much from her bowl, but she would much prefer a puddle, rainwater in the garden, stream.......
Anything really but her water bowl.
I think she like water that "moves" better - bet she would love one of these doggy water-fountains.!

I am sure someone else will be more helpful than me though :)

How much Jade, in terms of an average dog bowl , will she empty the bowl every day ? I can only go on what Sam drinks which is quite a lot ,he has two large stainless steel water bowls, one in the kitchen and one in the utility, he will empty one a day and half of the other one as well as drinking from rivers .
As I understand it ,dry kibble fed dogs need to drink a fair ammount , try and give us an idea of how much amy drinks per day ?

Lady is the same as Sam. Full bowl per day in the kitchen plus a bit more from a garden bowl plus river. She's mainly dry kibble fed.

Hiya, she has totally dry food. I will monitor how much more closely. I will often change the water as I walk past to try to encourage her to drink it.

I really notice that, while Poppy (who is raw fed) normally drinks very little, when she stays with friends who give her kibble she drinks at least one or two bowls of water each day. So yes, I think a kibble-fed dog should drink quite a lot. You could try adding water to her food, if you are worried...

How would not enough effect her? (so I can look for the sighs). She seems nice and healthy to us.

Riley is fed dry kibble and he drinks about a bowlful no more. He always prefers filthy puddles or full plant pots to the lovely clean water in the kitchen.

If she is not drinking enough her urine will be darker than is normal (should be pale, almost clear).

Maybe you can measure how much you are putting in her bowl and then measure again how much she has left at the end of a day :)

Sam also loves drinking from the garden pond, especially when I have just fed the fish ::)
