A shameless plug for my new book which comes out in July :D
    [/quote]

When in July will this be out Pippa? Is it paperback only or will there be an ebook version?

    Cheers :)

    Hi Jez
The publication date is 23rd July, but I don't know how closely the publishers will stick to this. It is a paperback.

As to an ebook, that I guess is up to the publishers. I don't know whether they go down that route, but I will ask if people are interested. :D

Thanks Pippa, just wondering really. I'll pre-order from Amazon, seems to be the cheapest.

    Hi Pippa
Any news on the publication date ? I keep getting emails from Amazon - the latest quoted the end of September :(

Hi Bob, the latest I have heard is that review copies arrive on 15th August and that the publication date is now 20th September.

I am so sorry for the delay. Apparently it is fairly normal in the publishing world, but very frustrating for those that have already ordered a copy, and for me too! :(

Re: How to get a really reliable recall

    :(
I had an email from Amazon today estimating delivery 19-21st September. The second "delay" email. Have to say I was pretty disappointed as I was originally thinking it would come in July and my daughter could work on it over the school holidays.
Ah well....best laid plans - only another week of holiday here in Scotland.
Our recall is a bit patchy but maybe getting a little better :D ......apart from if she smells a rabbit, or a deer, or anything foxy. She's getting better at not going home with other dog owners and their dogs though!
I guess these publishers work at their own speed. I do know its not your fault Pippa - you must be even more frustrated!!!!
    Hope they speed up! ;D

Oh that is disappointing. I ordered it when the book was first mentioned and then heard from Amazon that it would be August and not July and now September  My puppy will be too old by then!

Re: How to get a really reliable recall

I have been sent a new date today: the 14th of September. So fingers crossed.
    So sorry for the delay..

And Stacia, it will not be too late and your puppy will not be too old. The book is suitable for any age of dog!

Just to add for those with small pups, there are a couple of videos up on the Labrador Site YouTube channel now. And a new one (puppy recall part two) coming out in a few days. :D

Pleased to hear it :) My "puppy" will be nearly 3 when it's published and looking at your diary / blog with Rachel, I have already seen all the things that we did wrong :-[
It's clear that I'm not as interesting as all the smells (esp fox poo) and other dogs in the park :(

Oh Jacqui, I am so sorry. I am also gutted :(

I thought it was going to be available from Friday 14th. Thank you so much for your patience. I wouldn't blame you if you cancelled it.

I've just ordered one and they're quoting 1-3 weeks delivery.

It'll be worth the wait :) can't wait to turn Riley into a recalling angel!

Just had notification that the book will be further delayed until October! Do you have any idea Pippa why this is happening? I guess it is all to do with the publisher?
