    Hi Stacia

I imagine it is to do with shipping. The books have been printed abroad, presumably because it is cheaper that way. I have my copy which came by airmail. But the bulk of the books are presumably shipped by container. I guess they must have been delayed.

I suspect Amazon are just playing it safe saying October, as the publishers seemed confident the books would be here by 14th Sept (and that date is still up on Amazon)

My guess is that they will be here any day now, but unfortunately I don't have any control over the process. I can only apologise sincerely, and hope that they will be here soon and haven't been lost at sea!

I am sure once the book arrives we will be delighted, so please don't apologise, not your fault!

Re: How to get a really reliable recall

I had an AWFUL morning this morning. :(
Our usual 35-40 minute walk along the farm track -leaving at 6.30- turned into around an hour outside as I was trying to get her back from all 4 corners of several fields, a lot of the time out of sight, and at one point just a fence away from a busy trunk road.
Lets face it, I am no contest for a couple of hares.
Had to call in reinforcements (from Bed!) in the form of my daughter who arrived v grumpy and a few minutes after I managed to catch her by closing a gate to stop her "hare-ing" back down the field again.
    Aaaaarrrggghhhh!
Planning a walk same place same time (even though I have a day off tomorrow!) on the LONG LEAD but really quite p****** off about it.
Breathe.........relax.......off to my book (wine) club to chill.......Lilly still in the dog-house in my mind at least.

    Book update

Update: Apparently the books have now arrived at the publishers and are being despatched, so unless Amazon needs a long time to process them, it should be days rather than weeks.

    Book arrived!

George almost 9 months, not too bad at all when just with use but looking forward to improving him regardless.

Just ordered a copy on Amazon.co.uk , Pippa. Shown as in stock and scheduled to arrive Monday. Amazon.com is showing the book not available until November.

I guess that is due to the additional time involved in shipping to the states?

Think David may have ordered a book of magic spells, instead of Total Recall!

Either that or he's taught Lady to read and is just going to give her the book. :) :)
