Hi, I have a 3kg pack of kibble that i forgot to keep in an air tight container and so is now stale and my pup is not eating it. How can i make that stale kibble better so that he again starts eating it???
Hello there It's not really a good idea to feed stale kibble to a dog. Just like humans, dogs should have food that has been stored appropriately. Stale kibble can start to go mouldy and even have mildew spores in it, which may give your dog an upset tummy. Throw out the bag and buy a fresh one. If that leaves you without kibble for a day or so, then you could feed your dog cooked chicken and rice for a couple of meals until you can get more kibble.
Ok then i'll throw the bag. Feeding only rice for a meal or two is ok?? As i dont have chicken at home right now and will go and buy kibble tomorrow. Charlie is almost 3 months old so should i shift from 4 meals a day to 3 now????
He is so young, and if he hasn't been eating his kibble, just rice isn't great. Try to get some white fish, eggs or something maybe....
Ya eggs i have so will give boiled or scrambled eggs And that bag is going out tomorrow in the bin for sure
