Nala our 4 month old German Shepard Labrador cross seems to think that my husband is a chew toy. She doesn't nip me or my 12 year old son but is always biting him.
This is getting very tiresome, we have tried ouch and withdrawing, but she immediately goes from licking to nipping. He is getting extremely fed up of this.
    Any advice would be helpful!

Hi! I have a similar issue at home but I have realised that, whilst it's still not an acceptable behaviour and we are working on it, the reason Ella still bites my husband is because "he asks for it". Ella (nearly 5 months) has improved tremendously on the biting front but occasionally gets a bit mouthy when over excited. I find that 9 times out of 10 my husband playing with her causes this over excitement!

Definitely not suggesting yours is the same issue but, if you can work out the trigger for Nala's biting I'm sure it will be much easier to control.

    Good luck ☺

I have always had a "no licking" policy.

I think it is asking an awful lot for a young dog to differentiate between licking and nipping. Especially when excited.

I completely agree, some people do seem to wind up dogs, they don't even have to do anything.

I agree about some people winding up dogs . Rocky who follows me around quietly all day long and sleeps at my feet during my work meetings . But, the moment my husband and daughter enter home , he goes bonkers, running , pulling my daughters dress ( note to self: no more dresses from tomorrow, tights are better) , we just ignore him until he calms down
