Luna has started displaying some really hyper behaviour, which from reading some of the posts on this forum, I know are quite normal but they're blooming frightening.

I'm unsure what is causing them because we're not playing with her in an overexcited way, and her behaviour is so erratic we're completely unable to control it - crashing around into walls, jumping, biting, pulling on clothing. I've tried getting hold of her to calm her, or to put her into the utility room to calm down, but she'll just turn and bite incredibly hard.

An example of some of the triggers:
    • This morning we just had a really gentle 5 minute session of training (encouraging her to walk on my left) and when I bent down to say well done and give her a gentle stroke to say well done, she started going bonkers.
    • Yesterday, I was wearing a long sleeved top for the first time in months and she just went bonkers - tearing holes in the arms and when I'd stood up, jumping up to snap at it.
We're giving her 10 minute walks twice a day (morning and night), taking her out to socialise and see new sights, and we're trying to do 3 short training sessions a day. We're also giving her meals in her Kong to work her brain. Any advice on how to avoid, minimise or manage this? She's 15 weeks old.

Hi there, this is a really challenging time - but as you know, very normal. I'm sure others will be along to tell you how they managed this stage, in the meantime these are my calming tips for over-excited puppies. I hope you find them helpful :)
