hello guys my Sizzy is 4 month old but weight is 25lbs .can u tell me how much weight of ur dogs at 4 month old .pls give me suggestions
Re: iam having doubt in weight I've just left a comment on your other thread Lokesh asking for some more background and information. This is a topic that comes up quite frequently ...I'm going to find some of the older threads for you now.... What it is important to note is ,Labradors can all be exactly the same age but their weight can vary greatly, their build/shape/ physique/ height will be a factor in what is their healthy weight. We have Penny on here who is 19 kgs and Sam who is 38 kgs !both Labradors but a massive difference. Give me some time and I will direct you to the other discussions Angela
Re: iam having doubt in weight Lokesh can you post a current photo of your pup? As Angela said all pups and dogs vary so much. It is easier to look at a photo to advise on weight
Re: iam having doubt in weight To me your dog looks underweight and certainly doesn't need any kind of diet. What do you feed your dog each day?
Re: iam having doubt in weight Ah we can see him now but I'll still send you a couple of these links through now that I've looked them up. Totally agree with Barbara and Rachael...he doesn't need to be put on a diet... Is his worming treatements up to date and are you feeding him the amount recommended by RC? http://www.thelabradorforum.com/index.php?topic=5965.msg77170#msg77170 http://www.thelabradorforum.com/index.php?topic=5225.msg65621#msg65621 http://www.thelabradorforum.com/index.php?topic=1729.msg12994#msg12994
Re: iam having doubt in weight Yes, your pup is much too skinny and needs more food each day. You should not be able to see the ribs. You need to feed a quality food, not rice or bread or anything like that. Royal Canin is fine but you need to feed more of it. How much are you feeding in total, if you add all meals together?
Re: iam having doubt in weight Do you have a more recent photo? I see the photo was originally posted in June aswell when we discussed worming your dog. If she still looks like this you need to feed her more Royal Canin as Rachel has suggested.
Re: iam having doubt in weight Yes, I remember that photo. Its over 2 months old before you saw the vet and got worming treatment ? Do you have an up to date picture ?
Re: iam having doubt in weight On June 24 you said your pup had been dewormed and was now putting on weight and was fine. Can you post an up to date photo, so we can get a better idea?
Re: iam having doubt in weight my dog is 14 months and weighs 20kg vet said she is perfect very small build and extremely active can not see her ribs had her booster yesterday and she is putting on a bit since last month how long do they normally grow for
Re: iam having doubt in weight Your dog has stopped growing taller, Sussex, but may still gain some muscle.
