hi, i love my pet labrador 13 months old female, much as family,
if shes my family then she should be treated as family ?
i mean she some time get on my bet and pillows, she habit to lick hands of all people include stranges.
she put unnecessary things in her mouth then i always have to open her mouth to avoid eating bad things.
is im safe ? is there chance of getting rabies?
i really fear about this thing.

Hi Honey, where do you live? Rabies isn't a problem in the UK so I guess you live in another country?

Even if rabies vaccination for your dog is not required by law where you live you could always go and get her vaccinated anyway. Rabies is transmitted in saliva and if you had an open wound it could be transmitted to you but the chances of that happening are remote and would require an unusual series of situations to happen. I'm petting a feral cat outside, who gives me little love bites, I'm not worried about rabies.

    Hi Honey,
The best thing would be to speak to your veterinary doctor.
They should be able to advise you about what diseases are commonest in your area.
I assume you have your dog vaccinated against the diseases which are most common anyway (if you don't, you really should make sure that you do).
If your dog is protected, then you should be too.

It is perfectly safe as long as you wash your hands afterwards! One of my black labs he is 11 years old and still does it ! Lol it's his way of giving kisses !
