Hi, our 6 month old is making short work of all toys we give him, we’ve tried kong toys and other brands but he destroys them all! Within an hour or so usually. Tried frozen kongs with food- he doesn’t lick them he bounces them on the floor til the frozen stuff shatters! Has anyone tried bully box subscription online and Is it any good? Or have any other suggestions? He eats everything he chews so it’s not just a question of keep replacing them. Thanks

Hi @viki75 I believe Aussie Dogs makes very well designed toys for dogs. From memory the red coloured toys are made for the real chewers.
I don't believe they are literally indestructible. Anything indestructible is likely to result in a fracture of the dog's teeth.
Having said that I have red frisbee and have not noticed any wear and tear at all despite two dogs clamping their teeth on it, albeit I don't leave the toy with the dogs unsupervised.

You have a lab there's no such thing indestructible. The Khong thing, yes they do bounce:) them, try putting stuff soft unfrozen in, put a bigger piece of kibble at each end they have to work the Khong. They learn to lick round the kibble and don't chuck the Khong round so much.
At 6 months they will destroy all soft toys and most things they get less destructive when they get older. I don't leave my with easily destroyed toys until they are about 18 months. I just do not worry about it I don't use anything like soft toys.

Soft toys by Tuffy are pretty tough. They are pretty much the only ones our Labs don't destroy. As for other soft toys, since they just tear them up and don't eat them, we don't really mind when they shred soft toys. We just pick up the stuffing and squeakers and carry on.

Hi my 7 month old lab is the same, it's really difficult as she eats everything she gets her teeth into and then is sick at some point.

We've tried yak milk chews as these are edible and keep her busy for about half hour but it's difficult finding anything she can play with and destroy that won't hurt her or make her sick.

We do use kongs a lot, frozen and unfrozen which she loves.

Tuffies soft toys really are quite good - not indestructible but the best soft toys I've found.

Kongs are supposed to be dropped and thrown about...

Stuffed toys are disposable here too. Johnny likes the Kong Tuffies so we usually have at least one lambie and moose in various stages of dismemberment around the house. I watch and pick up the squeakers and stuffing and toss them out as needed. Kong makes a squeak stick that's about 12 in long, hollow and made of very thick but softer plastic. We fill this with treats. So far so good.

Jolly Pet makes two toys that have survived 1.5 yrs of labrador play. One is a hard plastic ball with large holes (that the dog can carry it with) and a second smaller ball inside. It's about 12 inches in diameter.

The other is a sturdy plastic ball with what looks like a ship's mooring rope through the middle with knots on either end. You can play tug or use the rope to fling it for fetch. Or if you're Johnny, you can do zoomies around the field holding one end of the rope in your mouth whilst the ball bops you in the face as you run. There are several sizes and colors; the 8 in size is plenty big. We originally purchased the 12 in and it's huge. The ball with rope is for the field or outdoors only. While it stands up to abuse, and even play involving two labs, I'm sure if I left it out at home, in time it would be destroyed.

Johnny really enjoyed gnawing on the larger size BeneBone but after a few weeks I noticed he chewed it enough that he would have been able to get a piece off so I can't recommend them unless you supervise carefully. If you don't mind disgusting, tennis balls are good. Kong makes a large size that won't roll under the radiator or sofa and Johnny doesn't seem to destroy them like regular tennis balls.

His favorite long lasting treat is a salmon skin knot. This lasts at least 30 minutes.

Hi please don't use tennis balls at all. The covering wears down their teeth. It's like giving your dog sandpaper to chew on.

I don't know whether the material on kongs is similar. If it is, walk on by.

The Chuck it balls are the only tennis ball-sized toy that Tank has been unable to destroy. We also got about 6 months out of our goughnuts tug toy (which he is obsessed with) before he got a couple big chunks out. However, we didn't purchase the most durable version, so I think you could get more playtime out of it.

We haven't gotten any West Paw toys yet, but they are next on our list and actually guarantee some of their lines.

I have tried MANY soft toys (because Tank loves them) and none have lasted more than 10 minutes.
