Re: Insurance? Very important to look at all that and to read the product disclosure form. Not all insurances go up when your dog reaches a certain age (some just reduce the payable benefit) but some do or even might cut out. All depends on your perception of risk, as Julie said. It's just like house insurance as Julie described. Everyone on the street pays house insurance but only one house burns down. Only that person 'benefits' and they are subsidised by everyone else. But I'd rather subsidise someone else's re-build than take the risk of being a charred, uninsured house.
Re: Insurance? We have a 4 month black lab, Nelson and decided to insure as he currently has only 1 descended testicle which may need surgery around 1 year. For our other lab 10 years ago we didn't insure until he was 6.
Re: Insurance? Has anyone used an insurance broker to find the best fit for you? Or, in a UK dog magazine there's a regular item about insurance and you can phone their office for free advice - has anyone used that?
Re: Insurance? Jane, I mean this in the nicest possible way. You are like a pregnant lady, constantly reading baby rearing books and baby wear catalogues. Exactly when is your pup coming home? It might amuse you to know that I have a daughter who is due to give birth today (probably why I think of you as a mum-to-be). I keep sending her texts telling her how many hours and minutes she has left to perform in. No pressure there then
