Re: Introducing Flintwood Focus Oh my word what puppy loveliness . Gorgeous. Looking forward to hearing all about him...and lucky Riley. A soon to be best buddy has arrived
Re: Introducing Flintwood Focus Am taking really rubbish photos but here's a quick update! 1 x pee on the lounge carpet 1 x poo on the vetbed in the car crate which we then stepped in immediately prior to our vet check 1 x vomit on the way home from the kennels He's been pretty good although he does want a play in the middle of the night and he's awfully chatty when he doesn't get his way! Here he's helping hang out the washing after the pee, poo, vomit efforts Yesterday we met the vet which, poo stained feet notwithstanding, went well. We have a little umbilical hernia which should sort itself out and a little over heating issue when sleeping as Obi is used to a kennel rather than a warm house. All else is well though ;D and the vet, a shooting man, was impressed I'd found a Clumber that didn't look like it'd melted in the heat! The only other Clumber he'd ever treated had the lot, bad eyes, hips and skin and was a walking pharmacy as a result. We met the Hoover today which didn't really phase us.....I think I've got a bold one here All that housework was tiring so He had a little kip. Apparently that's quite comfy really!
Re: Introducing Flintwood Focus And here's a little vid of him and Riley mooching today - it should work even if you don't use facebook https://www.facebook.com/video.php?v=10153239822498289&l=754395498623657326
Re: Introducing Flintwood Focus So cute Obi, don't go stepping in your own poo too often... Is that an owl making a noise in the vid?
Re: Introducing Flintwood Focus Obi and Riley seem to get on well together and he looks well settled in already. It will be fascinating reading about him as he grows up.
Re: Introducing Flintwood Focus
It's a pigeon
Thanks
Re: Introducing Flintwood Focus Just saw the vid...so cute. And Riley looks gorgeous, too. He looks bemusedly tolerant at the moment....
Re: Introducing Flintwood Focus Lovely video and doesn't riley look fab! Going to enjoy watching this little fella grow up and follow his adventures into the big wide world
Re: Introducing Flintwood Focus Barbara, just catching up - Obi is soooo cute. I wondered how Lizzie is liking having a new puppy? Welcome little Obi to the forum and can't wait to hear about all your adventures with Riley xx
Re: Introducing Flintwood Focus Don't know how I missed this post Barbara, he is scrummy ( and Riley too of course ) xx
Re: Introducing Flintwood Focus Well a week has flown by and Obi had his first jabs today at 10 weeks old. He's doing well and sleeping 12-6 although he's still likely to pee in the house : and he's poo'd in the car crate on the way to the vets both times! luckily the second time I'd learnt my lesson and taken the vet bed out of the crate so the rubber mat was easy to clean and added bonus he managed not to step in it this time! ;D You can't possibly be cross with him though.... He's not the only one testing out Riley's new bed.....poor dog doesn't get a look in! Weirdly I feel like I love Riley even more than before Obi arrived which is strange but nice. It may also have something to do with the fact I've realised just how far Riley and I have come together and he's my first, best boy. He was fabulous at training on Monday while Obi was tucked up in his crate, he watched a dummy launcher go off and then turned and went straight out for a blind at 90 degrees without even a hint of going for the seen dummy. No whistle required, he picked on his nose and then got sent for the distraction which he picked again with no handling......quiet and efficient with a comment of "that may be the best I've ever seen that dog work" from the trainer ;D very, very happy with my boy!
