Hi guys I have a 7 month old male lab called pies and he lives downstairs where we have got washable floors just incase of any accidents but he’s completely toilet trained now but having a dog is messy haha.
When he gets to go upstairs he gets over excited and runs around like a loon grabbing anything he can to play with! How can I try calm him down whilst upstairs? Eventually I would like to let him roam around to there but I’d just like to know where to start and how to work on it :)
    Thanks for reading!

    Hi Teide and Pies!

Maybe try taking up an interactive toy / food like a kong or snuffle mat so that he is occupied whilst up there? It could help get him used to the environment without causing chaos? Or maybe even some structured training with treats so that you have his attention?

    Let us know,
    Holly and Nala x

Hello, we waited until we felt our Gwenni was ready. That was around 11 months for us. Still made sure there were only a few fun things like shoes out! The world was much generally much less exciting for her at this time. We still ‘supervise’ her by listening out but since 12 months has freedom to join us around the house as she wants too. When we are upstairs she will either lie on our bed or at the top of the stairs watching what we are doing.
