Sam has obviously eaten something gross, like they do and has had the most dreadful explosions and also bad wind pains ( and smells ) so he is on a regime of rice and chicken with probiotic yoghurt for a day or two . Then yesterday , we noticed little Flynn scratching himself and also rubbing his head on the floor , thinking it might be a grass seed stuck in his ear, off to the Vets again . Vet said No , nothing there at all , we had Frontlined him the night before because we thought we spotted a little visitor on him so put the scratching down to this . By lunchtime, he was going crackers , and slowly a horrible rash spread over his tummy and onto his legs , back to the Vets who declared it to most likely be a grass pollen allergy . Bless him , he was kind enought to give us one Piriton tablet but then said to buy them at Boots because they were cheaper :)
So , Sam with a runny tum and stitches in his ear and Flynn with a nasty itchy rash ::) I did take them both for a very short walk earlier and thats it for today , at least the sun has come out :)

Back to the Vets at 5 , I didnt want to have to give Sam antibiotics unless necessary, but its going on too long now . Flynn is still itchy but we think not quite so bad , the piriton seems to be working .

So pleased that we took the pair of them . Sam has had a shot of AB`s and a course to take, his tummy isnt hard at all, his gums are red, heart is solid and steady, temp not high, so its not food at all until tomorrow afternoon, he wont like that ::) All in all, not worried about him at all , he has lost a kilo but he is a big lad and can take it :)

Flynn, well the Vet is convinced its grass pollen , says that due to all the wet weather, the field grass has grown rapidly and him being a low slung Tipperary Terrier ;) picks up the pollen more easily , carry on with the Piriton , he is a lot better already .

The very best news , Sam does not have Entropion or Ectropion , his eyes are declared perfect, it must have been the conjunctivitis that gave a false impression , brilliant news for us , what a blinkin good job we didnt book him in like the new Vet wanted us to :)
