Not sure what you mean exactly :) Do you mean he is getting barky and upset when people come to the house, or that he is humping the visitors...?

How old is young Milo now?

Milo is 8 mths but now seems to misbehave more and his back fur goes up when people come home or talk to him in the street.

Oh, I understand :) He raises the fur along his back.

That fur raising thing just means he's emotionally aroused. It could be excitement, or a bit of stress or anxiety. It's safest to assume he might be a little anxious (he might not be but best to err on the side of caution). One thing you can do is give him lots of treats when people walk by or approach so he associates people with something nice. Also, ask people not to pat or look at him if you notice that he doesn't seem relaxed with that. You can ask people to toss him treats without looking at him. When people come to your house you could put him in another room or a crate (mostly covered) for 15 mins or so, so that he can get used to the idea of people in the house without the pressure of a greeting right away. Also have visitors toss treats for him.

The teenage months with a Labrador are truly awful. Nothing prepares you for it.

I swear people hide their Labs in the teenage period. You see cute little pups and nice dignified mature Labs, you don't realise that they are nut jobs in between

I reckon there ought to be a "I survived a teenage Labrador" tee shirt.

The good news is that it passes quickly

Err...Casper is six...I don't think I will ever describe him as nice, dignified. mature lab.... ;D Hubby went out this morning to see to next doors ducks...Casper and Benson naturally trotted after him. Benson good as gold. Casper takes off....comes back....all four legs covered up to his hips in this brown goo...he had taken the scenic route back via the covshed...  ;D

Charlie is 2 now - I keep telling him "you are two now". My best friend came to visit last night, he is very fond of her, as she was around a lot when he was a baby. It took her 30 minutes to be able to sit down on the sofa as he was still saying hello, then he attempted to drap himself round her neck like a Labrador stole. He managed it for a bit too, but she is quite a small person with small shoulders, so he sat on her instead.
