- he helps you clean out your fridge by picking up the crumbs at the bottom - he helps you defrost your freezer by licking off the ice - he snaffles a bug walking across the tiles - he hoovers up the veggie chucks that drop onto the floor - he separates my underwear from out of the big pile of washing on the floor (every single time!!!!) That's how helpful he's been in just the last hour!!!!

Re: Isn't a labrador helpful when.... My husband wanted to change Molly's name to Pre-wash as she helpfully gives the plates a quick clean before the dishwasher gets to work. I don't have to worry when the Grandchildren drop food, Molly is so diligent in cleaning up after them.

He mainly does only 2 things (although dabbles seriously in rearranging the water irrigation systems in the garden too Fetches stuff - any stuff, because if it's not nailed down you have obviously have forgotten it and want it brought to you, right? I mean, why would anyone leave oven knobs in the kitchen or shampoo bottles on the side of the bath? Mad... Eats stuff - anything that's not on a plate, because if it's not on a plate it's going begging, right?
