It's not pleasant washing your hands in snow when the temperature is -14C (~6F) :(

Evidently the garbage Oban got into OVER a week ago contained a plastic bag. The bag made an appearance today. Shall I say, a reluctant appearance. Poor boy, he needed help.

I've read you should not pull stuff out, it might be way up inside, wrapped around a stick or something or just so far you could cause internal injury by pulling it out. You're supposed to cut the part you can see off. Well there are little scissors on my Swiss Army Knife, but they are little and I didn't have it anyway. But after a big hunk dropped off by itself and there was only a bit left I decided it had to be done. My big warm mittens are bulky and slippery so I went to bare hand with a tissue. Then the hand washing in the snow. Oban said, "Thank you Mum." by walking on normally and enjoying his outing. :)

Needs must ! Belle is a very fluffy dog and sometimes gets hairy-poo-strings that need gentle teasing from me. I glove with a poo bag, dog clamped between my legs. Glad you got the bag out without trouble.

You've just gotta do, what you've gotta do . Pleased to hear that Oban was totally unphased by the extra attention

Hmmm... First labrador Leo was a horror for stealing lunch packs from fishermen... Mostly sandwiches in plastic bags. I had to help many a reluctant plastic bag exit his, errr, rear area.

Thank goodness Poppy has never learned that fishermen usually carry their lunch around with them.

    Euk!
Worst I have is the consequence of long grass eating.
Don't have to worry about the tangled round a stick bit :p

Nature in the raw labrador style ha ha sometimes I wonder what it is thats come out and now have a forensic knowledge of how stuff looks when its passed though large silly dog.. They do market a type of coffee bean which has passed through a civet. Any one got any ideas what we could market?

;)I don't mind the poo stuff at all its so funny, but it is a good way to see how healthy your dog is and whats going on inside. I used to take photos to my vet when Rory was really ill so he could see it was a lot less smelly and was more descriptive than i could be. it really helped. I though about turning it into a Art Show could of made some money..... do you think Damien Hurst would put gold foil or diamonds on it? see you can polish a t**d
