I think it is only right to say a big thank you to Black Retriever X rescue, they do an amazing job. We have been supported every single step of the way. At no point did we feel pressure. We were matched very carefully to the dog for fostering, with a view to offering a permanent home.

Lots of people were involved in Caspers journey from Ireland, including the Irish rescue organisation Rovers Rescue. These guys are simply wonderful in their care and commitment to these dogs.

BRX have always seemed to work hard on matching people and dogs. I'm so glad that's turned out to be the case ;D

I understand they have quite a few "failed" fosterers

Oh cripes - I suppose I ought to change my name to 'Benson&Caspers-dad' now

I'm very pleased to report the new addition is very happily snoring on the sofa, with head resting on SWMBO's lap. He's really settling in well. 8)

Currently lounging on the rug each with an end of a long, squeaky red tug toy their favourite the moment.

Have a few issues, as we expected, but slowly I think we are getting there

Lovely news Kate , I know first hand about the issues surrounding a rescue, but most can be overcome with patience and love, plus some firm fair training , its just so good to read about Casper, landed on his paws
