Keir is not happy because I hosed him down after our free run. “Hosed down? It was a waterboarding!” he says.
Pssst! Keir! Over here! Shhh...don't tell your mama person. Look, little guy, I'll be by in my blue Tardis on Sunday morning to whisk you away so you're never waterboarded again. I mean, the nerve! So I'm going to rescue you! Pack your bags, I'll pull up, you jump in and then -" "Huh? What's that you say? Um, no. I don't have a Tatze at my house. Actually I don't even have a house. No, it's just me, not TWO wonderful humans to take care of you." "What? Oh yeah, that's right. No, I don't do those stinky fishy treats and no, I don't have a Zaba nearby me to take walks with either." "Not so sure now it was waterboarding after all? It may have just been a bath? And a big soft towel? It's actually pretty darn sweet at your house, you say?" "Well, darn, little guy. False alarm, I guess? Cancel the Tardis escape plan then and go have a cuddle with Tatze and a fish treat".
Phew, what a couple of days! Keir went on poo strike. This happens quite a lot with GD boy pups as they want to wee/poo further afield than the spending area. Keir is my sixth pup but the first of mine to do it. He’s only my second boy and Bruce came to me at nine months old, after the usual time it happens. He wouldn’t poo or wee yesterday, just stood by the gate looking into the garden, where he wanted to do it. The advice is ‘wait them out and don’t take them out of the house until they’ve been’. Well, he held his wee until 4pm (since 10pm the night before). Poo? None at all yesterday! I got a lot of housework done! This is not the idea - my puppy walking job is what gets me out of housework! This morning (48 hours after his last poo) he pood and weed as if nothing had happened Thank goodness, we have a long shopping centre assessment walk with my supervisor today. I pat myself on the back for not getting frustrated with him and just acting normal. In reality I hate staying in! I only had six months off work with each baby, which drove me maaaaaaaad! Cheeky boy!
I had no idea! That's some control Keir had to do his strike for so long. You kind of have to respect that amount of determination. I just love Keir's face in the photo. You can just see all the goodness shining out.
Good Lord ! Is that likely to happen again, or now that you've "waited it out" once will that be enough?
So far so good on the spending front - all back to normal, touch wood! Hurrah - a rare patch of sunlight!
