We go on about how beautiful these dogs are (they are!!) so I find it quite poignant that their blind owners will never see them.
Not all Guide Dog owners are totally blind. My friend Mandy has a little vision out of the corner of one eye so she does know what her lovely black Lab GD looks like.
We are visiting my son and DIL. Tatze is with Zaba and Keir is with my puppy walker friends who are between pups. They adore him and don’t want to give him back - who can blame them? He’s a prince among dogs. The good news is that, although he’s cleared for training school, the June list is full and the July intake is very small - so it’s likely to be August that he goes in. Two summer months to enjoy with him
Superb photo of a magnificent dog. However, I still feel sad for him that he has to leave all he has known so far.
Don’t be sad for him, he goes to new places with head high and tail wagging, heading straight for the toy box!
