Kennel cough

    Alfie is displaying signs of kennel cough even though he’s had the yearly inoculation . The vet said it can happen , im taking him to the vets this afternoon but have to leave him in the car until he can be seen . He’s in good form eating and drinking and activity level the same .
    Anyone any experience of this ?

    Hi @Jules67 you mean of getting canine cough despite having the inoculation Yes. Unfortunately.

    It’s one reason why - IMO - the KC vaccine is not one to give. The other reason, is that it is a very unpleasant vaccine for the dog to receive - a squirt up the nose. You only have to look at aversive ‘spray’ collars to see how unpleasant a squirt in the face is, and it’s not great for a pup to associate this with the vet’s at a young age.
