Thanks. We are just doing a day at a time. She looks really well but I know her so see the tiny signs. Moo always does what she wants so I'm letting her just lead me. She's due at the vets in march for her checks so we'll see were we're at then. There's been a decrease in the barking too. She's less energetic about it but more strategic
Belle wouldn't eat her normal food, she very quickly went off the renal food - she ate squirty cheese, hot dogs and person-biscuits - I just wanted her to eat. I wish, wish , wish I'd known earlier that she was in trouble, but I didn't. If wishes were horses, then beggars would ride as my mum used to say. Moo is still enjoying herself, she's enjoying life. Keep at it gal!
I know what you mean but my old vet missed it too and the new vets I took her to for her op,didn't think there was anything wrong either so if trained people miss it what hope do we have? It's a subtle sneaky disease and seems it can progress quickly or slowly. Im at the stage where I don't care what she eats as long as she does. Shes happy, sometimes she seems uncomfortable and l also think she is paler gumwise. I know she's anaemic she's is more breathless but she's ok. She still makes me smile cocky little bossy dog.
Watching humans and animals waste away is the hardest thing. I'm glad that Moo *thought* she'd taught that cat who's boss
I sitting up with her for a bit she wouldn't wake up at 9.30, I could get her to become aware. Went upstairs to tell OH we were both worried. She woke about 1030 and seems ok she was just very deeply asleep hopefully. She went for a wee but went back to bed I'm just making sure everything is ok. Really thought it was a vet job then
Hugs to you and Moo. Hopefully she's just gathering her energy to do something really cheeky later today.
Back now it went ok apart from the examination. She's happy to see me but so tired. She's definitely much more sleepy. She still tried to get some food off me though
