Done my list for the vet so we can have a good chat on Friday. I am very worried a lot seems to be happening all of a sudden with Moo. I haven't been able to take her out for the last few days she is having difficulties walking. Shes still a devil though cheeky faced little imp. Barking at me to hurry up savaging Rory . She's eating well and drinking normally. I know we all worry I am trying hard to be positive but she is an old girl who is finally starting to feel her age. She seems happy but shes sometimes Cleary uncomfortable.
This afternoon she has been sitting on the sofa were Rory likes to sit just to get him play fight with her and she's just huffed off cos he won't . He's trying yo ignore her but she'll get him going in a minute.
I am sorry, it must be such a worry for you. However, Moo appears to be happy on the whole, even if she cannot walk as well as she used to do. Fingers crossed and thinking of you.
She is very happy and just as silly as ever. I hoping to get her some better pain relief that should help. The other stuff who knows as long as she's happy it will be fine. I will be guided by the vet and Moo herself
Greedy and stroppy I did not open the door quick enough or go to work and give her her Kong now! if it's ok when I get back I'm going to try a short walk for her.
Sadly things did not go too well at the vets today. Moo is a lot worse than I'd hoped. The bloods were not good and her kidney disease is progressing. She also has a slight tear in her cruciate. The irony all her life no injuries then when we can't possibly do anything surgically, oh Moo you are a bu**er . As far as she's concerned she's had a lovely ride on a bus meet a nice young man and had loads of treats. She's fine my terrible black hearted shameless stroppy darling. I'm just going to make things ok for her. She's got some tramadol so it's all good. I had a good talk to the vets and we have a plan and so she will be monitored carefully and supported if necessary. Obviously I'm upset but I'm being closely monitored by the brown dog who has been trying to lick my armpits to make me feel better. Sweet the rose but sharp the thorn.this is were the real hard work starts and the letting go. so big deep breath and get on with it
@SwampDonkey Oh goodness, that's sad news to hear. I know you will do the very best for your lovely little bossy dog. Sending hugs, hope we can see you next week for a walk but we @Pilatelover and I will both completely understand if you want to postpone XXX
I am sad , and so sorry to read that dear Moo isn't very good and I truly feel your pain . I know that you will do your best by your lovely pal , hugs for you xxx
Oh no poor Moo and poor you. Of course you will do your best for you girl, as you always have. Sending my love and thoughts to you both, and ofcourse Rory who adores his cougar xx
I'm so sorry you got bad news at the vet's today. Moo is lucky to have you in her corner and I am heartened to hear that she is still her stroppy self. That Tramadol is good stuff, so hopefully it does the trick. And good for Rory and his armpit-focused caregiving.
I'm very sad to hear your news isn't too good. I really hope the tramadol helps Moo. Belle had a bad reaction to it. Sending you the bestest of wishes xx
She's had it before so hopefully she'll be ok.at the moment she is making her bed cosy it's a very theatrical performance of squeeling huffing foot scraping and rolling about.
All the best beds are made that way! I've been thinking of you today and wondering how you and Moo got on with the vet. I'm glad she's being monitored and getting support, just as you are from Rory too!
