Mum's older collie, Kimmie, died on Sunday night. She was 12 years old, a lovely sweet-natured dog, who never caused any problems. She also never had a day's sickness in her life, other than a bit of stiffness and arthritis in her later years. A couple of weeks ago she had what seemed like a stroke, recovered from that to some extent, but a few days ago she went sharply downhill and stopped eating. She died peacefully at home. RIP dear Kimmie.
Re: Kim Dear Kimmie, she looked such a lovely dog and will have given your Mother such happiness. It is such a heartache to lose a dog and I am sure that we all will shed a tear for both your Mother and Kimmie.
Re: Kim Oh Kimmie, what a lovely smiling face you had,I'm not surprised as you would have had a lifetime of love I know. So sorry for you all Karen, glad she didn't suffer for too long and she died where she was happiest xxx

Re: Kim Thank you everyone. It is especially poignant, as she and my Dad loved each other very much. She really was a very sweet old girl.
