Hi my Labrador has been diagnosed with primary copper toxicity which has led to chronic hepatitis and liver scarring. Does anyone have any experience of this?
I am looking for nice treats that she can have that are low in copper. I believe they should be below 5mg per kg of dry matter. I would love to hear from anyone who is already on this journey as this has been a shock to us, as a month ago she stopped wanting to eat. We thought she had gone off her kibble. Now after blood tests ultrasound and biopsy we have a diagnosis. Any advise will be appreciated

Hi Carole, welcome to the forum :)

I'm afraid I don't have any experience like this, but I hope you have success managing her condition now you have the diagnosis.

Are there certain foods you can't eat? I'm sure alcohol is out of the question. Is there any pain associated with the disease?
