Hi, I am in disbelief. A couple weeks ago my lab was perfectly healthy (or so I thought) and running around. We though he had some sort of virus bothering his stomach when he lost his appetite last week. After a day and a half of testing, he has cirrhosis. It seems it is pretty advanced with lots of scarring. We are faced with the decision of allowing them to take a biopsy to see exactly what has caused the cirrhosis or not. If anyone has any advice in this area please let me know. My dog is only 6. But I also don't want to go through the biopsy if his quality of life is not going to be much better just by knowing what the underlying cause is. Thank you in advance.
