HI Guys, My 6 year old choc lab has been diagnosed with bad arthritis. Any ones lab the same and can give me advice pls? Much appreciated as very worried about his future.
Bad arthritis, where? Is he on any medication/supplements? What issues does he have? 6 is really young for "bad" arthritis.
There are several drugs that can help, but they are prescription and need to come from your vet. Sometimes they have significant side effects. Cartrophen, Rimadyl, Deramaxx are some well known drugs. Our first Lab was on Deramaxx from about 13 to 16 years and it helped her a lot.
