Sorry posted in Labrador chat too, but thought this may be the proper place to post this question. ————— Hi This week I have had X-rays done on my 16 month old baby girl Coco. I have been advised that she has 2 luxating patella’s and hip dysplasia and requires surgery on both knees at a very minimum, as well as medication for the hip dysplasia. I am devastated as I thought I had done everything right (registered breeder, parent’s tested for genetic issues etc.) And while I know that is no guarantee, I am a little in shock and so upset. Anyway my question is, has anyone out there had the same issues with their babies and what did you do? I have commenced her on a 4 week course of Synovan injections and once this is done will commence her on 4cyte supplements, and will look into the patella surgery. Vet will only do surgery 1 leg at a time, so will do left one first as it is the worst. Any other advice?
