I have a 10 week old black male puppy. I notice at times his bottom eyelids fall away. Only noticeable when looking down on puppies eyes.I have asked the breeder and their answer was often puppies have a lot of lose skin and their head needs to grow into that skin. Sounds feasible as both mum and dad don’t have droopy eyelids. Looking at his eyes front on both are well set. Has anyone else experienced this issue? Hope you can help.

Tilly always had droopy bottom eyelids, which made her look a little sad, but did no cause any real problems.

Thanks for getting back to me, glad to hear it hasn’t effected Tilly. My concern is going down the beach and sand getting stuck in his eyes. I hope the breeder is right and his head will grow into all that skin. Cheers

Tilly didn't seem to get a lot of stuff in her eyes because of the droopy lids. A number of breeds (think Blood Hound) normally have droopy lids.
